You have full functionality using the website. If you are having issues, for the best user experience we recommend installing the desktop client. To use the desktop client, follow the following steps. The desktop client looks and works exactly the same as the website:
- Click on this icon to install the desktop client
- Login to the website
- Go to Settings, then click on General
- Under General, click on Self Deployment - Video
- Click on the QR code
After clicking the QR code, your desktop client should open and log you in. You no longer need to utilize the website for your softphone.
Desktop Client Phone Call Tutorial
We recommend that you change your password for your softphone:
- Go to Settings, then click on General
- Click on Change Password, and follow the prompts
If you would like to utilize your softphone on your mobile device, download the MiCollab for Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play. To connect the app on your mobile device, follow the following steps:
- Download the app from the App Store or Google Play
- On your laptop, open the MiCollab client or login to the website.
- Go to Settings, then click on General
- Under General, click on Self Deployment to bring up the QR Code
- Open the MiCollab for Mobile App on your mobile device
- Scan the QR code on your mobile device
Troubleshooting
- If you can place a call but can’t hear anything, first make sure the softphone is turned on in the bottom right hand corner. Then check you default system audio. Here is a video explaining how.
